Rick Heeren has an anointing to transform cities.

As Regional Vice President, Rick represents Harvest Evangelism, Inc. in 16 states1 known collectively as the Central Region of the USA. He is committed to the "Five Pivotal Paradigms of Nation Transformation,"2 which were created by Ed Silvoso, Founder and CEO of Harvest Evangelism. Rick is a seasoned implementer and practitioner of the principles of prayer evangelism. He is a regular faculty member for Harvest Evangelism conferences around the world, including the renowned annual International Institute on Nation Transformation in Argentina.

He is one of this generation’s pioneers in the concept of bringing prayer and intercession into the marketplace. He provides testimonies about these experiences in his first book, Thank God It’s Monday!  Rick also teaches a twelve hour seminar based upon that book.

Rick began working with the leaders of Elk River, Minnesota in the pursuit of city transformation in 1995. Now, more than a decade later, Elk River is widely regarded as the prototype for city transformation in the USA. Elk River is also a "Detonator City" which is causing leaders to want to implement these principles in other cities. Rick’s second book, The Elk River Story, provides testimonies from pulpit ministers and marketplace ministers in Elk River about how the Lord led them to implement prayer evangelism in their city.

In August, 2003 Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets came to Minnesota as part of their fifty state tour related to the United States Global Apostolic Prayer Network (USGAPN). They prophesied that Minnesota is God's threshing floor for the nation. In his role as Minnesota Apostolic Coordinator for the USGAPN, Rick captured these prophetic words and did additional research so that his third book, The Threshing Floor, is now a prayer guide for the state of Minnesota.

His fourth book, Marketplace Miracles, is scheduled to be released by Regal Books in February, 2008.

Rick's teaching combines extensive knowledge of the Word of God, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, 15 years of ministry experience and 25 years of business experience. He is a member of the visiting faculty, in the Marketplace Track, of the Wagner Leadership Institute in Colorado Springs. Rick is also the Minnesota Apostolic Coordinator for the United States Global Apostolic Prayer Network (USGAPN), and in that position, he leads a statewide network of intercessors. Rick and his wife, Rachel, live in Bloomington, Minnesota.

2  Ed Silvoso’s Five Pivotal Paradigms of Nation Transformation

    1. We are called to disciple nations, not just individuals.
    2. The Marketplace, which is the heart of the nation, has been redeemed and now it needs to be reclaimed.
    3. Every Christian is a minister, and labor is worship.
    4. We are called to take the Kingdom of God to where the kingdom of darkness is still entrenched for Jesus to build His Church.
    5. Nation transformation must be tangible, and the premier social indicator is the elimination of systemic poverty.
