Raleigh, North Carolina (Introduction)
August 3, 2007

Raleigh, North Carolina

One of the best examples of a city that has been detonated by Elk River is Raleigh, North Carolina. It was less than two years ago that I made my first trip to this city. Sirus and Kaye Chitsaz, of Raleigh, have opened their home and their hearts to me. Sirus has purchased a box of The Elk River Story and a box of my second book, Thank God It's Monday, and has handed them out to people all over his city. Because so many had read The Elk River Story, when I arrived in Raleigh the first time, I did not have to sell anyone on the concept-they were already convinced. They wanted me to show them how to implement the strategy in their city.

One of the first things that Sirus did was to invite me to minister in Raleigh with Chief Jay Swallow, from the Cheyenne First Nation Tribe in Oklahoma. I knew Jay at that time, but I had never ministered with him. Being such different people, I wondered how we were going to minister together. On our first day in Raleigh, Sirus and Kaye took us to a meeting at the Covenant Church and introduced us to Pastor Jim Sink and his wife, Myra. A number of other people, including Pastors Bill Morgan and Les Lawrence were there too. During our presentation, I said that we wanted to be like midwives to help birth what God wanted to birth in Raleigh. Suddenly, Pastor Sink's wife let out a gasp. She told us that two weeks earlier she had had a dream in which the Lord told her that He was sending two midwives to help birth transformation in Raleigh.

In January, 2006 Jay and I ministered together in a meeting to bring reconciliation between the various groups in Raleigh. We invited the Holy Spirit to break down the ethnic and theological walls that had divided the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit visited that place especially as African Americans and European Americans repented to one another and asked each other for forgiveness. Then they washed each others feet. Participants in that meeting tell me that the city of Raleigh was changed forever that day. One of the clearest examples of that change is that the pastors have unanimously chosen Pastor Bill Morgan, an African American, to serve as their leader.

PRAYER POWER
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that the reconciliation that has taken place in Raleigh, would impact other cities in North Carolina and around the nation. Bless Sirus Chitsaz, Pastor Bill Morgan, Doug Walton and Les Lawrence as they provide leadership for the transformation that is underway in their city. I also ask that the success of the transformation project in Raleigh, would detonate other transformation projects throughout the state of North Carolina. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Blessings to see God do exceeding abundantly in your life!
